Daylight Saving Time (DST)

If your government announces new DST rules and you are a Webex WFO (Teleopti) on-premise user, read the following guidelines and take action, where necessary.

NOTE   If your government does not announce new DST rules, you do not need to take any action. If you are a Webex WFO cloud user, you do not need to take any action.

The following two data sources control how Cisco handles time zones and DST changes:

• The first data source is the Microsoft Windows operating system (OS). The OS contains information about existing time zones and future DST changes. Microsoft administrates this information. When new time zone rules are announced in a country, it takes approximately six months for Microsoft to release an update for the OS with the new rules. After Microsoft releases a new update for the OS, you are responsible for applying the latest system updates to your computer.

• The second data source is the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA), a database containing information about existing time zones and future DST changes. IANA administrates this information. Cisco monitors the IANA database and releases a Webex WFO update when new rules arise. You must ensure that you apply the latest update of Webex WFO.

If new time zone rules are passed that affect your organization, in Webex WFO, you must delete any schedules and forecasts that occur after the date on which the new time zone rules apply. Then, you must create new schedules and forecasts according to the new time zone rules.
